Undo a group

What undo removes, what stays and why, and in which order groups are taken back.

Every applied group shows "Undo" on the overview. Undo removes what the transfer created in this group and what has not been used since. Updated entries get their previous values back. What is already in use stays and is listed with the reason.

Who can use this

  • Owner and Admin

Steps

  1. 1. Choose undo

Click "Undo" on the group and confirm in the dialog.

  2. 2. Read the result

The dialog reports how many records were removed and, if something stays, lists each record that stays with its reason and a link.

  3. 3. Correct and apply again

The records taken back are Approved again. Edit them and apply the group again.

Fields and options

Dependent groups first

If applied records of another group depend on a record, it stays until you have undone the other group, for example the payroll data before the employees.

Entries in use

A customer or supplier with documents, a product in documents or in stock, a bank detail in use, a person with payslips, an account with postings, an open item with a payment or dunning notice, a bank statement with reconciled transactions and draft entries that were already posted stay.

Postings

Under GoBD, posted entries are not deleted but reversed: the opening balance and the open items.

Archive

Archived documents remain unchanged under GoBD. That is why the group Documents cannot be taken back either.

Tips

  • Undo groups in reverse order: first payroll carry over and payroll data, then employees; first open items, then customers and suppliers.

Good to know

  • A salary change from the transfer stays in the salary history; the person's other details are reset.
  • If an existing entry was updated and its previous values are not known, it stays with a note that an existing record was updated and remains.
  • A transfer can only be deleted when nothing from it is applied any more.
