Invoices and electronic invoicing
Questions about invoice numbers, corrections and electronic invoice formats.
Steps
1. Can I change an invoice after sending it?
No. While an invoice is a draft you can edit or delete it. When you finalise or send it, BizCortex checks the mandatory details, assigns the next gapless number and posts it. From then on the invoice cannot be changed. Corrections are made with a credit note, for the full invoice or for single lines.
2. Why does BizCortex refuse to finalise my invoice?
The invoice check found missing mandatory details, for example your tax number or VAT ID, the customer address, the service date or the customer VAT ID for a reverse charge invoice. Complete the listed fields and try again.
3. Which electronic invoice formats are supported?
It depends on the country. Germany: XRechnung (CII and UBL) and ZUGFeRD or Factur X. France: Factur X and Peppol BIS 3. Spain: Facturae and Peppol BIS 3. Austria: ebInterface and Peppol BIS 3. Switzerland: Peppol BIS 3 and Factur X. Sweden and Norway: Peppol BIS 3 (EHF in Norway). Denmark: Peppol BIS 3 and OIOUBL.
4. Can we receive electronic invoices?
Yes. In Purchasing you can upload an electronic invoice as XML or as a PDF with embedded XML. BizCortex reads and validates it, finds the vendor (by VAT ID, tax number or name, or creates it) and creates a draft bill. The same file cannot be imported twice.
5. Where do I put my bank details and logo for invoices?
Bank details go into Administration, Settings, tab "Company", or into Banking as a bank account. A logo upload is not available yet in the web app.
