Signing in and signing out
How the sign in works, what happens with passwords and two factor sign in, and how you sign out.
BizCortex has no passwords of its own. Sign in, passwords, two factor authentication and single sign on are handled by a secure identity service (Auth0). BizCortex only receives the confirmation of who you are and which company you belong to.
There is no public registration. Access is always created by an administrator of your company or by the operator of BizCortex, and you receive an invitation by email.
Who can use this
- Everyone with an account
Steps
1. Open the sign in page
Open the BizCortex web address. If you are not signed in, you see the card "Sign in". Its text explains that password, two factor authentication and single sign on happen on the secure sign in page, and that you choose your organization afterwards.
2. Click "Sign in"
You are sent to the secure sign in page. Enter your email address and password, or use the single sign on of your company if it is set up. If two factor authentication is active for you, confirm the second factor there.
3. Choose your organization
If you belong to several organizations, the sign in page asks which one you want to open. Each company in BizCortex is linked to an organization.
4. Work in BizCortex
After the sign in you return to the page you wanted to open, or to Home. BizCortex keeps you signed in in the background while you work.
5. Sign out
Click your initials at the top right to open the user menu and choose "Log out". You return to the sign in page.
Fields and options
The only button on the sign in card. It starts the sign in on the secure sign in page.
- Legal links
Below the card you find the links to the legal notice and the privacy policy of the operator.
- Error box
If the sign in page refused your sign in, a red box says that the sign in was refused and shows the reason and an error code. Click "Sign in" to try again.
Tips
- Password changes and password resets are done on the secure sign in page, not inside BizCortex.
- If you open a company that belongs to another organization, BizCortex shows "This company belongs to another Auth0 organization. Signing you in again" and sends you through the sign in once more. This usually happens without a new password prompt.
Good to know
- When your session ends, BizCortex shows "Your session has expired. Please sign in again." Sign in again; unsaved input in an open form may be lost.
- Without an account you see "No account? Access is created by your administrator" below the button. There is no self registration.
