The compliance library

Every data package of the compliance database, how they connect, their documents with obligations and the thresholds of the law.

Company Brain, Compliance library shows what the compliance database contains: every data package, for example German federal laws, EU law, EDPB guidance, security frameworks, sanctions lists and funding programmes, with its licence, its number of documents, its languages and when it was last loaded. Everything here is read only.

Every package and every document opens as a knowledge graph: which documents cite, amend or are based on which others, which obligations a law contains, who they are addressed to and what proves them.

Who can use this

  • Every member with a built in role: Owner, Admin, Accountant, Sales, Purchase, HR Manager, Employee, Viewer and Compliance

Steps

  1. 1. Find a package

Under "Packages", type in "Search packages" or use the chips under "Filter by category". Each card shows the licence, the number of documents, the languages and "Last loaded".

  2. 2. See how packages connect

Open "All packages graph". Every circle is a package: its size follows the number of documents, its colour the category. Click a package to open it.

  3. 3. Explore a package

The package page shows the "Knowledge graph of the package": its most connected documents and what they connect to. "Filter by relation" hides relation types, "Show more documents" draws a larger graph. Click a document to open it, or pick it under "Documents".

  4. 4. Read a document

A document shows its sections, its "Relations" grouped by type with links to other documents, and its obligations with addressee, domain, deadline, penalty and what proves them. Use "Addressee" to see only the obligations for one group, for example "Corporation".

  5. 5. Look up a threshold

Open "Thresholds" to see the numbers the law sets, for example the size classes of § 267 HGB, with the provision and the quote.

Fields and options

Licence: non commercial

The licence of this package does not allow commercial use. You see its name, counts and connections, but not its text: sections and quotes stay hidden.

Not reviewed

An obligation the database extracted by machine that no person has checked yet. Read the provision before you rely on it. Rejected obligations are never shown.

Addressee

Who an obligation is addressed to, for example "Merchant", "Corporation", "Employer" or "Controller or processor".

A node with "more"

Documents beyond the limit of the graph, collapsed into one node per package, for example "eu_eurlex: 4 more".

Tips

  • A check result shows the same addressee and review status for each obligation, and "Addressee" filters the chain.

Good to know

  • Packages, counts and graphs are refreshed every hour.
  • Without a connected compliance database you see "Compliance database not connected" and no packages.
