Connect AI tools (MCP)
Use BizCortex from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI tools through the Model Context Protocol.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor work with other programs. BizCortex offers two MCP servers.
The company server at https://app.bizcortex.de/api/v1/mcp works with your company data. It signs in with an API key, and the role of that key decides what the AI tool can see and do. It needs the Brain package, and Brain must be switched on in the Brain settings.
The documentation server at https://docs.bizcortex.de/mcp gives AI tools this documentation in all seven languages. It is public and needs no key.

Steps
1. Create an API key
Open "Settings" and the "API keys" tab. Click "Create key", give the key a name such as "Claude" and choose the smallest role the AI tool needs. Copy the key, it is shown only once.
2. Copy the setup for your AI tool
Below the key table, the card "Connect via MCP" shows the endpoint and a ready made setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Cursor. Open the tab of your tool, click the copy button and replace the placeholder ak_… with your key.
3. Other AI tools
In any other MCP client, add a remote server with the endpoint address and the header Authorization with the value Bearer followed by a space and your key.
4. Ask the AI tool
Ask in your own words, for example "Which invoices are overdue?" or "Create a client named Example GmbH". The AI tool finds the BizCortex functions its key may use, reads data directly and prepares every change as a proposal.
5. Confirm changes in Brain
The AI tool never carries out a change (create, edit, delete, send or approve) itself. The proposal appears in Brain in the conversation "MCP · <key name>", and the AI tool receives a link to it. The person who created the key opens it and clicks "Confirm" or "Reject". The AI tool can then check the result.
Fields and options
- Company server
https://app.bizcortex.de/api/v1/mcp. Needs an API key. Reads data, searches records and proposes changes.
- Documentation server
https://docs.bizcortex.de/mcp. Public, no key. Searches this documentation, reads a page and lists the contents.
Tips
- Create a separate key for each AI tool. You can then revoke one without affecting the others.
- A Viewer key is enough to ask questions about your data. A key that should propose changes needs a role that may make them.
- Add the documentation server as well, so the AI tool can also explain how BizCortex works.
Good to know
- Sign in tokens of people are not accepted. The company server works only with API keys.
- A proposal expires after 30 minutes by default if nobody confirms it.
- Every call appears in the audit log, marked as made via MCP.
- Each key can make up to 60 calls per minute.
- Revoking the key disconnects the AI tool at once.
