Delivery notes

Ship goods, book them out of stock and invoice the delivered quantity.

Open Documents, Delivery notes. Delivery note PDFs show no prices and have a signature block for the recipient. Issuing a delivery note books every line with a product out of the chosen warehouse.

Steps

  1. 1. Create

    Create it from an order ("Delivery note") or with "New delivery note".

  2. 2. Deliver

    Click Deliver. Choose the Warehouse (empty = Default warehouse from Sales settings) and the delivery date, then confirm. The status becomes Delivered and "Stock issued at" is shown.

  3. 3. Invoice

    Click Invoice. The date of supply of the invoice is the delivery date.

Good to know

  • If one product does not have enough stock, nothing is booked and you see an error.
  • Lines with a product need a warehouse.
  • An invoice can only be created from a delivered delivery note, not from a draft.
  • Cancelling a delivered delivery note books the goods back into stock with a return booking.
