Calling rules: the dial check

The checks every call passes: legal basis, opt outs, calling hours, attempts, countries and approval.

Every outbound call passes one compliance check right before it is dialled, also calls from campaigns and scheduled calls. If one check fails, the call is refused and the reason is stored in the compliance centre under "Blocked calls". You can run the same check by hand in the card "Dial check" on a contact.

Incoming hotline calls need no legal basis, because the caller contacted you. The AI disclosure is still spoken first, and a caller who opted out gets a human, not the agent.

Good to know

  • You cannot edit the calling hours in the app yet. This is not available yet as a self service setting.
  • On development installations a bypass may skip some checks. The compliance centre then shows "Compliance blocks are currently disabled". Opt outs always apply.
