German payroll: overview
What the German payroll calculates, what it produces and what you still do by hand.
The German payroll (People, Payroll) calculates the monthly pay slips for companies in Germany: wage tax with solidarity surcharge and church tax according to the official calculation of the Federal Ministry of Finance, social security contributions, mini jobs and midi jobs, company pension, company cars, surcharges for Sunday, holiday and night work, levies U1, U2 and U3, and the employer cost.
Tax and social security attributes are read from the HR personnel record. Payroll never changes them.

- sv.net files are created for manual upload. BizCortex is not certified for direct transmission to the social insurance.
- Not supported yet: several jobs in the transition zone, garnishment tables (a garnishment is a fixed amount), short time work allowance, maternity protection and parental leave as payroll cases, partial retirement, working time accounts in payroll, benefit in kind values for meals and housing, and some flat rate taxations.
- Parameters marked "to verify" in the settings were not checked against official test data. Check them before productive use.
