Appraisal cycles and 360 degree feedback
Run review cycles with templates, self reviews, manager reviews, calibration and peer feedback.
People, Performance and Development, Appraisals has templates and review cycles. A template defines the rating scale, the criteria with weights and the share of goal achievement. A cycle runs through the phases Draft, Self review, Manager review, Calibration and Closed.

Who can use this
- Owner
- Admin
- HR manager
- Managers (My area, My team's reviews)
- Employees (My area, My reviews and Give feedback)
Steps
1. Create a template
Click "New template". Enter the name, the scale (for example up to 5), the goal achievement share in percent (below 100) and the criteria with weights. The weights must add up to 100 percent.
2. Create a cycle
Click "New cycle". Enter name, period, template and the deadlines for self review, manager review and calibration, and the minimum number of 360 degree responses (default 3).
3. Launch
Click "Launch cycle" and choose "All active employees", "One department" or "Selected employees". An appraisal is created for each participant. The reviewer is the direct manager. Employees without a manager are reviewed by HR.
4. Advance the phases
Click "Move to" to go to the next phase. Employees submit their self review in the self review phase. Managers rate each criterion in the manager review phase.
5. Request 360 degree feedback
On an appraisal click "Request 360° feedback", choose colleagues and a due date. Colleagues answer in My area with a rating, strengths and areas for development, or decline. The reviewee only sees an aggregated summary once the minimum number of responses is reached.
6. Calibrate
In the Calibration phase HR can override the overall rating. A reason of at least 3 characters is required and the change is audited.
7. Close
Closing the cycle releases the results to the employees. Employees can acknowledge the result and add a comment.
